BEREA, Ohio ––The City of Berea today, awarded SoundCom Systems of Berea, OH a contract to design and install the audio, video, and control systems for the new Berea Municipal Courtroom, currently under construction.
The new courtroom is being constructed on top of the current police station as part of an expansion to Berea’s City Hall and will feature the latest in communication and collaboration technologies for use in today’s modern courts.
“This will be a major technology upgrade for the Court,” says Richard Threadgill, Director of Business Development for SoundCom Systems, “Judge Comstock has a great passion for the legal system and a strong desire to utilize technology to improve the overall experience for everyone involved.”
The project will feature large digital displays, fully integrated audio systems, video arraignment systems, and a wide range of content collaboration tools intended to make court proceedings run efficiently.
“While the court will feature great video technologies, the real critical factor here is sound,” continues Mr. Threadgill, “the ability to hear clear, crisp, intelligible sound is paramount in a courtroom for all participants, even those joining remotely. We believe these systems will deliver an experience so good, no one will even notice they are there…which is the point of any system we do.”
Berea Municipal Court services the Southwest suburbs of Cleveland with Judge Mark A. Comstock, presiding. The project will be completed in the Fall of 2016
