CLEVELAND, Ohio ––SoundCom Systems of Berea, OH today, was awarded a contract to install the public address and paging systems for United Airlines in Concourse C of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland, Ohio.
This project will extend the deployment of the new IED GlobalCom paging system installed throughout the airport to the United Airline gates and boarding areas for a more seamless and consistent experience throughout the facility.
“This really brings the entire airport renovation project to a more complete conclusion,” says Richard Threadgill, Director of Business Development for SoundCom Systems, “we’ve already deployed this powerful paging and announcement system throughout the airport so integrating these elements with the airline is a natural progression.”
As part of a multi-phase $36 million terminal renovation project, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport has been reinventing its image updating physical aspects of the airport and making significant technology improvements. One of these improvements was to consolidate and standardize the entire airport public address and paging system.
“This new technology changes a passenger’s experience in Cleveland.” Continues Mr. Threadgill, “The dynamic level adjustments, pinpoint paging, integration with visual systems and even multi-language translation support will help United connect with its passengers in a very seamless way.”
SoundCom has deployed the IED GlobalCom system across the entire airport and will also be completing the ticket lobby and front façade of the airport later this spring.
The project will be completed in June of 2016, in time for the Republican National Convention.
