AVON, Ohio –– Select Medical, one of the nation’s largest providers of specialized care, today selected SoundCom Systems of Berea, OH to provide and install the nurse call systems in their new Avon, OH facility focused on medical rehabilitation as part of a joint venture with The Cleveland Clinic.
SoundCom will install a fully integrated Rauland Responder 5 nurse call and patient communication system in this new, state-of-the-art, 60 bed facility which will be named the Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital when it opens in late 2015.
“A major component of any modern healthcare facility is the ability to communicate quickly and easily,” says Paul Williams, Healthcare Account Executive at SoundCom Systems, “the Rauland Responder 5 system being deployed here maximizes the investment in technology infrastructure to dramatically improve communication and overall patient workflow.”
The Avon facility includes a wide range of features aimed at improving the quality and speed of care including patient-to-caregiver voice communication throughout the facility via wireless phones integrated with the nurse call system, automated patient information with comprehensive HL7 integration and reporting tools that help administrators manage the overall patient workflow.
“This is a pretty unique joint venture project that will be a great value to the local community,” continues Mr. Williams, “we’re proud and excited to be a part of this project, knowing that our work helps improve patient care, right in our own backyard.”
The new facility will open in late 2015, just northwest of the Cleveland Clinic Richard E. Jacobs Health Center in Avon.
