AKRON, Ohio –– SoundCom Systems of Berea, Ohio today was awarded a design/build contract to upgrade the audio and video technology systems for the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Honorable Thomas A. Teodosio presiding.
This is a significant upgrade to the technology systems designed to enable the Court to better serve the community and more effectively share content and evidence during court proceedings.
“Courtroom audio and video system represent some of the more complex systems that integration firms like SoundCom work with…,” says Paul Mitnick, Sr. Account Executive with SoundCom Systems, “…an ability to quickly and easily share and discuss evidence and testimony with intelligent systems that are simple to operate are difficult to design and engineer.”
This new system will allow defense and prosecution teams to more easily share materials relevant to court cases while giving the Court better control over proceedings. The courtroom will be well equipped with the latest collaborative technologies featuring high definition video conferencing, video annotation capabilities, large format interactive displays, and advanced touch screen controls.
“We have incredible depth and experience designing, installing, and servicing these types of systems,” continues Mr. Mitnick, “using technology to improve the judicial experience for all parties involved is something we take very seriously and clearly so does the Court.”
By utilizing a design/build process, the end result of the project is closely monitored and cost controlled, putting the design team directly in the deployment of the project ensuring the Court gets a solution with operational and support functionality meeting their precise needs and eliminated unnecessary equipment costs.
