Cleveland Clinic Opens Doors to New Heart Center
SoundCom Systems was chosen by the Cleveland Clinic to provide the new Heart Center, in Cleveland, Ohio, with state-of-the-art patient-to-nurse communication technology to the 278 patient rooms and 110 intensive care beds in this world class healthcare facility.
SoundCom installed the Rauland Responder NET System on nine floors of the new facility. The system allows staff to respond to the needs of patients in an efficient and timely manner, as well as promote a patient-friendly environment while allowing staff to quickly communicate with each other.
The system integrates wireless telephones, pagers, staff/patient locators and network access for campus-wide dissemination of information. Staff members are able to track information related to the number of call system requests, the peak activity times for staffing and establish targets for response to patient needs.

University Hospitals Lerner Tower Conference Room sound and video installed by SoundCom
SoundCom Systems has recently completed the installation of a sound and video system like no other in the Lerner Tower Executive Conference Suite of University Hospitals in Cleveland.
Equipment includes multiple plasma displays, a high-definition video distribution and projection system, sound reinforcement, as well as audio and video conferencing systems.
Multiple color touchscreen control panels allow for total room control of lighting, volume, motorized projection screen and projector lift, video routing, laptop input selection and shade control. A custom lectern will provide all of the same capability from flexible locations as room configurations require.
The video conferencing equipment will enable employees to communicate with other hospitals and organizations from all over the world using wireless Internet access.
SoundCom Awarded Ohio State University Biomedical Research Tower Sound and Video Systems
SoundCom provided and installed an integrated sound and video system for the Ohio State University Biomedical Research Tower. The conferencing system includes video teleconferencing with multiple robotic cameras, a projection screen with a high-definition projector and multiple satellite rooms with individual audio-visual systems that can be integrated with the main conference room.
The system is completely automated via multiple touchscreen controllers and provides complete flexibility through the use of high-end signal routers and scalers.
Executive Area for Medical Mutual designed and installed by SoundCom
Executives at Medical Mutual will now conduct meetings in a very state-of-the-art board room. The 24-seat, horseshoe shaped conference table is equipped with flat-panel LCD displays, wireless gooseneck microphones and multiple laptop connections.
A custom lectern includes local source equipment and color touchscreen control of the new motorized screen. The room is complete with a high-definition video projector, satellite music, video inputs and audio conferencing.
Another successful SoundCom showcase at the Cleveland Institute of Music
Working with national consultants and acousticians, Soundcom outfitted Mixon Hall at the Cleveland Institute of Music with audio and video systems in the new 250-seat recital hall.
Plasma displays in the lobby and cafeteria receive video feeds originated from virtually any location in the facility. The installation incorporated a distance learning backbone which will provide video capabilities for instructors and students.
