Designed for cancer and genetic epidemiology, the six story 320,000 square foot facility is the result of a partnership between University Hospitals of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University. SoundCom was chosen by UH/CWRU to install all the audio/video and presentation systems for the new center of research for the both institutions.
The facility centers around a large, high-tech auditorium featuring advanced video conferencing, digital projection, digital document cameras, and a fully integrated AMX touch screen control system.
SoundCom installed multi-media presentation systems in 16 different rooms of varying sophistication. Several rooms feature Extron’s new MediaLink control system allowing simple control of a projector, a screen, volume controls and switching.
A number of rooms were upgraded with touch screen control systems, video conferencing systems, document cameras, and advanced interfaces, all designed to work seamlessly with each other. SoundCom even adapted the system operation to mirror other systems installed around campus to reduce the learning curve and improve system functionality.
