The new flight operations control center has workspace for more than 600 professional employees who plan, track and handle US Airways` flights. The airline`s Flight Dispatch, Maintenance Operations Control, Crew Scheduling, System Customer Service, Operations Engineering Groups along with administrative support are located at the new facility.
SoundCom was chosen to install audio and video systems in the Operations Control Center and conference rooms.
The operations center consisted of multiple displays capable of displaying weather, news, and local content all controlled from an easy to use touchpanel. Numerous other conference and training room audio / visual systems were installed. They varied in size from small conference rooms with flat panel displays to larger rooms with projections screens, AMX control systems, and source racks. An additional system was installed in the Emergency operations dept to allow staff to group together.
The entire job was completed under tight deadlines and with close coordination with the general contractor and owner.
